Character Use Policy
Because, honestly, I can't believe this is such a problem.
I'm not so tight-assed so as to say flat out that people can't use these characters. Apparently they want to. I've had people ask to use them in their own fics and stuff.
But here's the thing: THEY ASKED.
1. ASK FIRST. Honestly it's not that hard to do. Just send an e-mail to me, it's placed in more than one spot on the site. If it's really that hard to find, post an entry in the guestbook and include your e-mail, and I'll get back to you (I check it almost every day anyway). If you do not ask permission first, doesn't matter what it's for, I'll be really pissed off. I will contact you to remove my artwork/intellectual property, and if you do not, I'll get in touch with a power above yours. Be it for the artwork, the character, hell the story itself has been stolen. Ask permission first, it's really disrespectful to me if you don't, no matter how you go about it.
2. Unless it's something I really don't approve of, most likely I'll be fine with it as long as proper credit (aka a link back that isn't hidden on the page) is given. I really don't want people changing the characters to the extreme (I ran into one thing that annoyed me, where they made Zuru some bad-past, crap-parents teen whose dad was a crack addict or whatever), especially if you're making them emo. That's like the one thing I don't stand for, internets emo kids are like the bane of my existence with their QQ =\. But like, if you need to change their age/city/some history go ahead, just don't fuck them up D:
3. That's pretty much it. Other than the permission thing and the not making my characters emo thing I'm not that strict. If you want to make like...livejournal icons, it's not that hard to put in credit for those. Just those two ground rules, really :P Permission, and give credit where credit is due.
